Make sure you also change the password as well after

when you say hard reset, you mean reboot or stick a pin in the reset hole in back?

      that will reset the password back to the factory settings

        thanks man, I have not tried, that, power cycled several times, I will try that, thanks for the clarification, I am new to that tech, have not been a cox customer for a few years
