Ridiculous and unacceptable

Our Cox internet and tv has been down now for almost 3 days! We work from home and we don’t get paid for having no internet connection/outages. With our combined total hours, that’s almost 48 hours of unpaid time! This is ridiculous and unacceptable! Worse, Cox does not give you a heads up if they are going to fix something, I called customer service and was advised that they are replacing wires for better connectivity which is great, but for 3 days????? This is absurd! Who’s going to pay us for 48 hours lost wages??? Just when we can’t afford to lose hours, this happens! Oh, and guess what? Customer service will only compensate or credit our bill for the number of days service is out, which is reasonable ( I thought ) but when I found out how they compute for that - I lost it! So for 3 days, we are getting $20 credit for our main internet and TV service, and for myself ( I have my own account/service ) I will be getting a whopping $4. In the meantime, we pay our bills on time even though we, among many other people here in this country is suffering from financial hardship, we can’t lose our internet because we need to work. If only there’s another internet provider here in our area that’s reliable, we would switch in a heartbeat!

Did you want to troubleshoot any technical issues or was this just a billing rant? If so, Cox will probably lock this thread. Do you seriously think you will get good advice on other ISPs on a Cox forum? Try Reddit, DSLR, Facebook, Nextdoor, etc.

Already answered in my other posts. In short, no, not currently. I am retired.

All I was saying is if OP's actual reason for posting here was to find a better ISP, then they are better served going to a 3rd party forum like DSLR that specifically rates ISPs.
