I had to change the name of my laptop and want to remove the old name from the list of active licenses in McAfee Suite

Try uninstalling and reinstalling? Uninstalling should free up the license key and the name will be updated when the software is reinstalled. See here.
BTW, did you manage to solve your Wifi problem? Your last post saw you looking for a extender.
