I'll assume...I could be wrong...when Cox decreased the upload value of the 300 plan from 30 to 10, the price of this "phantom" 300/10 plan would be cheaper than the 300/30 plan. 30 is less than 10.
However, to keep your bill from decreasing, Cox automatically bumped you to the 500 plan at the "grandfathered" price of your previous 300/30 plan. I'm just assuming 300/10 would be cheaper than 300/30. Why would you pay for 30 up if Cox won't give it to you?
If Cox wanted to "grandfather" your plan, Cox should have just grandfather you at 300/30 and closed this plan to all other customers.
This is why Cox automatically changed your account and are now making it difficult to rollback.
