Price increase no explanation

When I started my service just out a year ago, I was told it would be $70 a month that was for unlimited data at 500 MB. within six months, my bill went to $90 a month so I called to inquire about it. I was told because we were using extra data and I said we have unlimited and I was told no we didn’t to get the unlimited I needed to pay $90 a month so I changed it to unlimited couple of months later. I see that it’s at $110 a month so I called and inquired about it and was told the same thing today. My bill is to be paid and it’s $160 a month and I ask why and I’m told that it’s $110 for the basic service and $50 for the data increase. It makes absolutely no sense in lack of better words it’s price gouging and I was wondering is there anybody else has had this issue and you probably won’t be able to comment because they turn off the comments very quickly I’ve noticed by reading the other people’s questions but I thought I’d give it a try anyways
