If youve had issues and are currently experiencing packet loss. The only way to prompt Cox to maintain their infrastructure is to hold them account. Save your screen shots of the tracert and ping tests, Submit a complaint with the FTC and FCC. As a company, Cox wants to spend as little as possible and lie to you about the cause of the network issues. However, as a utility receiving federal funding... They have guidelines they must maintain.
it took me 6 months, 100s of calls, 7 tech visits and 3 new modems. Once the complaint was filed... They fixed the node that was clearly having the issues in the South West,

How do I do that? The tech just told me everything is fine but I just tested it while he was telling me it was fine and I got this... he blamed my splitter but its the exact same splitter that came in the modem box.. then he blamed a gold fitting I bought at a hardware store for like $5. Then he blamed my wall outlet which he said looked fine. Its like Cox blames everything except Cox. We said why is the upload speed so low and he said "speeds may vary" but it should be over 30 Mbps. And we pay for gigabit so the downstream should be closer to 900-1000 Mbps. The first picture is with his device. Notice the red X.
