No more custom icons/avatar?

I wanted to change my Icon/avatar today and notice when you click on edit to upload the picture like you used to be able to, now there are just several selectable patterns of color. I notice I and a few others still have custom icons, so they must be allowed, so why can't we change them? Why can't new users pick them?

    Chris, can you explain why they didn't remove this page since it is no longer relevant to the new system? If nothing else, please ask for it to be removed so it doesn't confuse people on this subject.

    Hi, there. I'm unaware of this being an issue, but as a moderator those options are not customizable for me. As such, I've not been able to recreate this issue. Could you log out, clear cache, log back in and see if this is still the case? Thank you, in advance.

      If your options aren't customizable for you, then you HAVE replicated the issue. Notice how my avatar is custom? Same thing even using a different device and browser. That is because before I could change it by clicking on the icon on top right > my settings >click on pencil icon > there was an option to upload a picture. It had to be a certain file and icon size. Now it just gives you 12 different avatars of different colors. I thought it was still an option after the new(horrible) Khoros UI but maybe I am wrong. I just don't see the point of even having changeable avatars if they aren't unique.

      Also, you not being able to change your icon has nothing to do with you being a moderator. Lots of moderators have custom avatars. I linked to one below. Do you not have the same access and privileges of other moderators?

        We appreciate your feedback. It's true, this had been a customizable feature. That is no longer the case. I am truly sorry for the inconvenience this has caused. We have sent your feedback to see if this is possible again in the future.
