Moderator scope and priority
I know this topic may be a little meta but since it has come up recently and other posts, I wanted to touch upon it separately. What exactly are the roles and responsibilities of the moderators here?...

Shhhhhh. You are not allowed to speak the truth. BTW, Cox and Charter will soon become one. Oh my.
Not so much one because that makes it seem more like it's 50/50. It's more like 80 /20 with charter being the 80. I think Cox might be only getting a 10 to 20% invested interest. But I think there's also stock and other options. Comes out to 40 plus billion dollars. Got to love that money. Owww! Also, I think the name of the product is going to spectrum in the name of the company like stock trading wise is going to be charter. I think the name Cox is going to turn into how we think of AOL now. It will used to be an ISP. Then they were a media company. Now they're really nothing other than an email domain that some other company owns.
I guess that's not true. Cox will still exist as Cox Enterprise which will be Cox media and whatever the name of the company is that sells cars. So basically they will be car salesman and advertisers now which I think really fits the kind of company that they are. All they really care about is making the sale and making profit. I understand. That's really all anyone cares about, but it was more specifically obvious with Cox. Them not being public. I think in the end actually hurt them because it took away the bumpers like kids use in bowling. Cox is now in the gutter.
Charter getting Cox was never on my bingo card. I thought it was either going to be Comcast since Comcast licenses So many systems that Cox uses or that some other moderately sized ISP would join forces with Cox for more leverage against Comcast. It feels like Comcast 's long-term game was to get Cox hooked on their tech and use that as leverage. It may not have worked to Comcast interest, but I think it hurt Cox overall to the point that it assisted in their downturn and possibly helped with this acquisition. Should I make a separate post on this topic? I think you and I and maybe Kurt are the only ones left on this forum.
