Lied to and deceived by customer service and tech
Has anyone else had this problem as I've never had service with Cox.com until Feb. 2025.
I called in spoke with a lady explained the situation and that I was just going to us3 my aunties equipment. She switched the equipment over into me name but when I connected it to my tvs the equipment give me a code. So I called back she said that a technician would need to come out. I td her no because I didn't want the extra charge she assured me that there wouldn't be. Okay fine the technician comes 2 days later and I ask again just for peace of mind I wouldn't be charged. He says no I wouldn't be as it's the equipment that is the problem so he ask where the tvs are one in the living room one in my bedroom and the others are in my roommates rooms which I don't have access to. So he asks where the tower is located so I show h he never touched it only looked then went back to setting up the living room tv then asked what room my was I showed him now mind you I've told him I can connect them myself. Again he says there's no charge and proceeded to hook it up goes back finish setting-up the living room and leave. I pay my first bill I think ok no extra charges then I get this month bill and there's a $200.00 charge one of checking the tower and the other for installation. Has anyone else had this issue? If you have what did you do to have it removed as I don't feel as though I owe Cox.com the $200.00
