Keep @cox.net email address when cancelling internet service

I'm having a hard time finding info on whether or not I would lose access to my Cox.net email address if I cancelled my Cox service.

This article says I would lose it, but it's a third party site, so I'm not super-confident. I can't seem to find anything on the Cox site.

Thanks in advance.

  • As per here;

    Access to the cox.net email address if I choose to discontinue services with Cox

    After the move to Yahoo Mail is complete, and you accept their Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, your cox.net email address will be supported by Yahoo and will be accessible to you even if you choose to discontinue service with Cox.

        Happy to help. You may want to switch email providers anyway. Not only is Yahoo notorious for bad security(part of one of biggest hacks of all time), but their whole business model is to make money off showing you ads and collecting your user data in your email. That is why they charge you to forward your email and make using a email client difficult. Their anti spam is horrible too. You would be much better off with Gmail, Proton, or Icloud(Apple) email. Don't just take my word for it though. Search online about what is said about Yahoo.
