First check the Cox outage map to see if you are in a outage. If not, contact Cox to have a technician out. They will only charge if the problem is after the demarc, which is where Cox's wiring ends and yours begins, which is where the coax connects to your electrical ground. If you have a direct connection from outside to the modem, sounds like a outside issue, so probably won't be charged. If you are worried, you can get Cox Complete Care, which covers the cost of most/all technicians. You have to keep it for 3 months at 10$ a month, but that is 30$ vs 70-100$.
