Hotspot Outage

How do I report a hot spot outage? I can connect but there is no internet access. Cant find support for this issue. I use it at my workplace. 3357 Copter Rd Pensacola, FL 32514 Any advice?...

I'm not sure how close you really are to the hotspot. It looks like there are 2 near this address, but they are indoor hotspots which have the wireless strength of a regular wireless router. Check this page and enter the address to see if you can tell how close you might be www.cox.com/.../wifi-hotspot-map.html  Also, if you can identify which one you may be connecting to, we can try to remotely reset it.

Well I checked today with my phone and when I went north of my address 3357 Copter rd, I got connected but with a very weak connection and super slow internet.

That address that is close by (according to Cox Map is}

Performance Personnel Services

3355 COPTER RD

STE 8
Pensacola, FL 32514

this address has always shown on the Cox map.

one business showing in my same building is no longer there since 2018.

When I go south. I get the same prompt as before  "cannot connect to IP address". although it does show a Cox hotspot is available.

both of these businesses are next door to me on either side but in different buildings. We are separated by equal parking lots.

I havent really had a problem in over 2+ yrs with occasional outages that come back up fairly soon after.

So with the map you suggested to check there is at least one business no longer there and a couple close by that are gone as well and with that said its hard me me to say what hotspot I have been connecting to..

We might be getting close..

    I was able to locate a hot spot at the 3359 COPTER RD STE 6 address. It looks like the modem at this business (that the hot spot is broadcast by) is offline currently. I am going forward this up to be investigated. It sounds like the modem is getting power, but not a signal from us. Which would explain why the wifi is showing up but you are not getting an IP address to actually get online.

      Thanks Brian. I have waited for any change and everything is the same. The business at 3359 COPTER RD STE 6  Overhead Doors is no longer located there. A new business occupies that suite.

      I'm a bit confused at how the modem is still broadcasting if the original business is no longer there. I dont pick up a a modem for overhead doors but the current business is Oasis Preferred Maintenance and I can pick up a secure modem from that name.

      Any suggestions?
