Sounds like we may have the same issue. Any online service I connect to cuts out roughly every thirty minutes. Makes gaming impossible.

I have been having the same issue for several days now and I am so FRUSTRATED!! The TV freezes, then does not restart. Many times I cannot change channels, it tells me "we are having trouble . . . try again shortly" but trying again and again for several hours and it still occurs repeatedly. This has been going on for several days v. . if not weeks. I live in the Tyson's area of Northern Virginia. This is happening with my internet service also.=, not just TV
- Becky6 years agoModeratorHi JudyG, have you power-cycled your receiver or reset the receiver using the www.cox.com tool or the tool in the Cox Connect App? (Reset online by logging into cox.com and then going to www.cox.com/.../resetting-your-cable-receiver.html.) Also, check to ensure the coax connection screwed into the cable box hasn't come loose. Are there any splitters on the coax connection to the cable box? -Becky, Cox Support Forums Moderator

Yes, I have tried all of those suggestions, to no avail. In fact, it is still doing it this morning and will no longer allow me to reset it as it says I have tried too many times so I must contact COX for further assistance. There are no splitters. I am looking into switching to Verizon FIOS (as it is now available in my area) Too many issues with Cox, and I have been with you all for over 20 years
