So my ongoing saga continues....A Filed Services Technician came out, (12/22) sent by the mysterious "back office" to come out and take more readings. He tried at the modem, tried replacing the modem with a Cox Panoramic, and still got the same speeds 127/33. He went out to the box to test at the line in at the house, same result. He got out the big ladder, climbed up the pole, and took readings at the tap. Turns out I have -15db tilt on my main line, its supposed to be only -8db tilt. So the fault is finally found and it is COX's !!! so after submitting the readings, he told me it would be marked a Priority but again no ETA on when it would be fixed.
Today, 12/26/2018, speeds are still at 141/28, with no word from Cox whatsoever.
I figure I'll give it until 12/31/2018 and then it will be time to make a change, one way or another.
We deserve every bit of what we pay for...do what you need to do and document everything!
