You have a couple of options before you move somewhere else to get a different ISP.
- Call Cox Sales back and get the price reduction that failed before.
- Go to Shwab's website and shop online for a better deal.

Where do you live? You're paying $36 more for Basic TV than Cox's highest current price for "Basic Preferred" anywhere. You can upgrade Cox services at a lower price than you pay now.
Your poor Wifi download speed is a different issue. I could make some suggestions, but there are other contributors in this forum that can better deal with that.

Basic Preferred is $99 in Omaha. That's the only Nebraska price listed.
Ya i don't know whats going on for years our bill was $ 200 and just recently its been going up more. It actually just went up another $ 3.75 .so i can upgrade to get a lwer price?
Yes, but you don't have to upgrade to get the lower price. If you just keep what you currently have, you can save even more. Go to the last website I posted and pick out the TV plan you want. Or, go to the first website and pick out a package plan (Internet, TV, and phone).
You couid add DVR service and still be less than what you're paying for Basic TV.
Basic Preferred $99 + Preferred DVR Service $20 + advanced receiver $10 (?) - the replaced mini-box $3.50 (?) = $125.50 = $15.50 less than what you're paying for Basic TV now. That assumes you have a mini-box and don't already rent a DVR compatible receiver.
There are surcharges with certain TV packages. You're probably paying them.
With Basic Preferred, you might be able to go with Essential DVR Service for $13.50. That puts your upgraded service savings at $22 per month.
If you currently have a DVR compatible receiver, your upgraded savings would be $28.50 per month. $99 Basic Preferred + $13.50 Essential DVR Service + 0 advanced receiver (already have) - $141 current Basic TV = $28.50
