I took about 100 of my most important emails and forwarded them to another email.
Can anyone tell me - will I still be able to receive my emails via Outlook? are all old emails being dumped?

Hi, you will still be able to receive your email in Outlook but you will need to change the server names once we change to Yahoo.

Please take a look at the following link for the information that you're asking for: https://help.yahoo.com/kb/imap-server-settings-yahoo-mail-sln4075.html.

Oh my gosh - thanks so much! just called tech support prior to finding this site and tech support needs a better script - initially the woman told me nothing would change and I do not need to do anything - this is erroneous info. Will cox provide us the new smpt info, etc. for incoming/outgoing servers or do we need to reach out to yahoo? Do we need to add a new email account to Outlook for the new yahoo account? How much of our old mail is retained? I have email going back several years that I still need to access (various passwords to diff accounts, etc.) - if those emails are on my local computer in Outlook - they will not be impacted - correct? So if Cox takes down its web email - that will not impact my stored emails - is that correct? Sorry for all the questions - but the woman at tech support I just spoke to could not answer any of these questions. Thanks!

You're so very welcome! We will be sending out email notifications letting you know when the transition is happening. You will not lose any contacts or previous email that you have stored in Cox Webmail. What you currently have in Outlook won't be changed unless you make the changes. We will make sure that everyone has the correct incoming and outgoing server names.
