Some do; some don't. You can search "voice" for the combo DOCSIS & telephone modem (eMTA). However, I'd avoid the combo router, which would be Yes under the Dual Band 802.11AC WiFi or Higher column.

Sorry...I didn't read all of your question.
If you want telephone service (Cox Voice, landline, etc), Cox will issue the modem to you. It'll be a free loan so don't lose it. It'll be a free loan...if you avoid the combo router units.
- CrystalSFormer ModeratorHi,
That is a great question. No, that modem will require you to have a 3rd-party router for Wi-Fi. Also, you will also need a modem provided to you by us for the digital telephone service. The modem that you will need for the telephone service will be provided at no charge.

COX must issue their TM3402s to be used for telephony, independently purchased ones will not work. Thankfully, it's "included" with their telephony service - though you may need to request over the "brick" modem that does have wifi.
