Cox POP3 to Yahoo IMAP transition

I'm currently using Cox.net POP3 Email. I want to transition to Yahoo IMAP Email. Should I change from POP3 to IMAP before or during or after the transition to Yahoo? Cox.net Email Transitioning to...

    Hi, Elsie. You will not do anything until your account actually migrates. You will receive an email with clear instructions on how to proceed once your account is ready to move over. If the email address in question has already migrated, then you will receive the following at our webmail page: Your Cox.net Email Account has moved to Yahoo!. 

     

    Bear in mind that your login at yahoo will be your full email address (ie, instead of 123, it will be 123@cox.net). 

     

    As for a time table for the email migration, that information is not available. All currently available information can be found at https://www.cox.com/emailmove but at this time we don't have any dates confirmed. Customers will begin receiving email communications 60 days prior to migration.

Hi, Chris. I never got the "Your Cox.net Email Account has moved to Yahoo!" email yet. I received the following emails.

* Almost time for your Cox email to move to Yahoo! (received on 05/23/2024)
* The countdown to Yahoo Mail has begun (received on 04/24/2024)
* Your Cox email account is gearing up for a move to Yahoo, Elsie (received on 03/25/2024)

If you have not received the notification, your email has not yet moved over.
