Recent changes require that you update your email server settings on each device (i.e., computer, tablet, phone) used to access your email. Please visit www.cox.com/secureemail and click on the blue buttons labeled PC/MAC or PHONE/TABLET for instructions on how to access the server settings for the email client used on each device.
Tips:Make sure the Incoming mail server and Outgoing mail server fields do not contain east, west, or central.
If using POP:
Incoming Server: pop.cox.net
Incoming POP port: 995
Outgoing Server: smtp.cox.net
Outgoing Port: 465 with SSL enabled and authentication box checked; or 587 with TLS enabled
If using IMAP:
Incoming Server: imap.cox.net
Port number: 993 with SSL enabled and authentication checked, if available
Outgoing Server: smtp.cox.net
Check the Port number and use one of the following options:
- 587 with TLS enabled
- 465 with SSL enabled and the authentication box checked, if available
