Can't connect to 2.4Ghz

First of all stay safe everyone with this covid 19.. I am wondering why 2.4ghz does not show on any device i try to connect? I can only connect to 5ghz. From what i understand 5ghz is bit faster if your closer to the router. I also got the small box that is like a roku where i can stream everything, and im always having connection issues because of the 5ghz. I don't want to move my tv closer because I want my streaming device in the bedroom

        depending on age, some items won't connect with my panoramic unit.

        i have 2 older dell laptops that see the unit but won't connect, so i connect an old router by rj-45 cable for wi-fi.
