So you are saying a modem fresh out of the box would report bad signal just because it was manufactured 9.5 years ago? Why? If your 9.5 year old car was saying it was out of gas, would you think the gas meter is broken or that you are actually out of gas? Also he tried other modems and had the same problem. On top of that, the issue was latency based like you said, which has nothing to do with speed.
::edit:: This will be my last reply on this post. It takes more time to click on all the "show more" links to find what I want to reply to then it takes to actually write the reply. Who designed this forum? What is the point of "show more"? Why not just show the entire thread? At least direct the link in the notification to the post the notification is about.
