Look at the sender email address.
Next, hover the mouse cursor over the link, do NOT click on it. If the link is not the Cox web site, forward the email as an attachment to "Phishingreport@cox.net"

Just curious what happens when we report something to them?

A lot of the time, it's a cox residential email address as the sender, it gets shut down till the owner of it calls it to get it unlocked, the pwd changed, and provided security information. Then the url it's trying to get you to go to gets blocked in the Cox system so Cox Customer's who received that email, when they click on the link, it takes them to a 404 page can't be found.
