This transition has been absolutely ridiculous. While Cox sees the Cox.net email as being a "free" service they have been providing. I feel it is part of the $300+ monthly bill I pay Cox. It is NOT free. I have been using this email address for 15-20 years. While I was able to get everything set up on Yahoo email, I am unable to get Yahoo to work with Outlook. I use Outlook for many things and should not have to switch clients. On top of all of this, if I want to start using a new email account, I would need to pay Yahoo a monthly fee just to forward my emails to the new account while I transition (which could take months)!
The communication has been terrible. There is absolutely NO help when it comes to Outlook because Cox has passed the buck on to Yahoo. This is the last straw for our family. We no longer have a tie to Cox. The email account was what was keeping us with them. We will be switching service providers. Good luck Cox!

Hi espi,
I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing any issues with setting up Outlook to work with Yahoo Mail. This link may be helpful: https://help.yahoo.com/kb/fix-pop-imap-client-sending-receiving-issues-sln3792.html
I hope you will decide to stay with us as your service provider.
Thank you,
