Appears so. Do you have a different Cox email to try with?
Yes, continually fails, asking for smtp password. I'm beyond frustrated with tech support.
Hopefully i can get someone who cares and can help.

I am not aware of any issues on our end. Have you enabled the SMTP authentication for outgoing email with your username and password? I did not see that listed in your original post. If not, can give enable it, move any emails from the outgoing box to the drafts folder, close the mail client, reopen the mail client, and try sending yourself a test email? Please let us know the results.

ok i see the option, i enabled it still fails.

i found the option and enable it. i still get error for smtp server. i have outlook on my phone and i am receiving emails fine, just cannot send.

Hi jfleming116,
Please check your firewall and antivirus program settings, especially if they have been recently updated. They may be obstructing the client-server connection.
Also, you may have a corrupt PST file. The PST files are the data files used by Outlook to store all mailbox data. You will experience the Outlook cannot connect to IMAP Server issue if these files become damaged.
