CNN error message

I like to watch CNN online and had been doing so for a long time with no issues. Suddenly, starting a few weeks ago, the following issue has been occurring: as the video is playing, a message will be displayed on the screen that says "The sub-error code and message will contain additional information about the underlying cause for this error. The result of one or more tracking beacons was unsuccessful". The video and audio continue to play, but controls are disabled, specifically, the mute / volume control, pause, rewind and fast forward. Is there a solution to this problem?

Some additional information: If I reload the page, the message will be cleared and the controls will be restored, however, after some time, the error will usually return. Also, the message is cleared during commercials, but will reappear when the CNN broadcast resumes.

Hi, Don. I'm so sorry for the error you are receiving and I would like to help. The error will be related to the online access and not the feed. This is an old page post from 2022, but it addresses the issue: https://support.google.com/chromebook/thread/177324977/network-error-1400-when-i-try-to-run-videos-on-cnn-com?hl=en. I hope it is helpful.

It was a good suggestion, but it didn't work. The error message almost always occurs when CNN comes back from a commercial.

I'm with Don on this one. It is happened in Edge & Chrome with a brand new install in the case of Chrome. It does seem related to how the player handles the return from ad break so I suspect it is a bug specific to the CNN player and hopefully will be fixed soon.

Also I used a separate Xfinity account to authenticate CNN so it's not specific to the Cox credentials to view the stream. Don_Camillo are you using Cox or something else as authenticator for CNN viewing?
