How do I successfully block repetitive email ads?

Realize block sender doesn’t work since the senders come from multiple sources, but the ad subject lines are often the same. I have tried creating filter rules to delete, and reject emails with a common subject line but they still come through. Why even have filters if they don’t work? Or if they do work, then how do I get them to work so that I don’t continue to see subject lines such as “The most dangerous room in your house?”

Please advise.
