wireless box keeps crashing

I have a Cisco DPC3825 DOCSIS 3.0 Data Gateway which keeps crashing, asking for password. I notice my firmware is old as well. How do i update the firmware. Help...

The firmware is something we manage from our end with those devices.  As for the crashing it might be beneficial to try factory resetting the device and seeing if there is any improvement.
