WHY isn't DIY network in HD on cable?

It is in HD in my area (San Diego County.) Channel 1360. Part of the Sports & Information Pak. I would guess your system hasn't gone to fibre yet and has bandwidth issues.

The channel line up shows the channel in the lineup, but then doesn't show what package goes with it. Maybe a glitch? What happens when you go to channel 1230?

I chatted with someone on Cox who tells me that they're thinking about making it HD NEXT YEAR. After googling, I found out that it's actually been in HD since 2010! But just not on Cox.Yet, in Baton Rouge, we pay for HD programs.

It's in HD on AT&T. I just might look into Uverse since so much of my neighborhood seems to be switching. My next door neighbor loves Uverse. AT&T is a bigger company than Cox.

I'll see what happens here, but betting that next year they'll raise prices [again] and won't add any services. I've had Cox for over 30 years. Of course when it was Cablevision, it wasn't as expensive, but say over 30 years my AVERAGE bill was $75 [it's actually $192 now!!!!!!!] ... multiple that times 30 years and we're talking that I've paid Cox more than what it would cost to buy myself a NEW CAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Typing in 1230 takes me to channel 1238!

Thats weird. Should have jumped to 1231, even if you didn't get 1230. Do you have the "Advanced TV Preferred" package?

That means that the channel number has been assigned, but the channel is not yet available in any listed package. It does NOT appear in the PDF channel list.

Why even show the channel then in the lineup if its not included in the lineup? Thats what I meant by mistake.
