WeatherScan

I am asking same question. That was my source of weather by the day and hour. No other station carries local weather except for when News channel come on.  Why was it dropped?

Tecknowhelp, you may be right. We have not received any further explanation for the change, thus far.

Thanks for the update.  Something to note here is that In the early days of the Weather Channel, local weather was always available. Now, however, the Weather Channel runs lots of general programming in the afternoon and evening, and so local (Northern Virginia) weather information often cannot be found on Cox during those times.  WeatherScan bridged that gap, but now that it's gone, there is just a gap.  In other words, WeatherScan had become much more valuable recently, so abruptly discontinuing it in Northern Virginia doesn't make sense, unless it's going to be replaced by another local weather channel.

I like weather and stuff.

I hope someone from COX is listening. I think they underestimated how many people watched that channel. It was the first channel I watched in the morning and my go-to channel in any bad weather. Was resisting VIOS but I am very, very unhappy with COX right now.

If you mean Verizon FIOS, you may be very disappointed.  Verizon dropped weatherscan over a year ago.

Try using the internet ... Weather Underground has a network of over 180,000 private personal weather stations around the world.  You may find one located in your neighborhood.
