Why was this channel removed? I use it everyday because it is an easy, quick weather reference! Please bring it back!!

What does this have to do with Internet???? It's like the 5th thread opened about this topic but the other 4 are in the TV forum .... see here where it was beaten to death.
You can get current conditions and forecast over the internet on your computer, phone, tablet, etc. Weather Underground has a fantastic network of personal, private home weather stations all around the world ... over 180,000 startions. Odds are you can get the conditions within a few blocks of where you live. IMHO, weather TV channels are becoming, if not already, obsolete.

+1 everything AllenP said. I am curious though, do any of the receiver software options (roxi,contour,countour2) offer weather options? I haven't had cable in a while, but with passport there was a channel app (like games) you could enter your zip code and it would give you crude weather forecasts. Does the new platform have anything like that?

Apple TV has The Weather Channel app, Roku actually has a free app for Weather Underground. The original Contour guide does not but Contour 2 does have an in-guide weather app. With all this technology, there are many ways to get the weather .... don't forget to look out your window I'm never very happy when I have to shovel 6" of partly cloudy from my driveway.

I live in RI> We have a long tradition of not listening to our weatherman. We had snow in May... this state is weird.
