I have recently exchanged older Motorola stb for Cisco 8642HDC. I noticed a few things that I used to be able to do with older guide seem to not be present in Trio, so am wondering if they are possible:

I and many others have complained repeatedly about these problems but our complaints have fallen on deaf ears. Cox does not seem to care.
he movie ratings are essential as is the remote's cc control. Come on Cox. Do something.
It has been long enough!

Issues 1 and 3 I'll be happy to pass along to our product team for feedback. I checked our Trio boxes here and it shows a "New" box to the right of the air times to indicate that it's a new or premier program.

Another example of Cox poor systems programming. DirectTV is looking better and certainly cheaper every day. I just got a written bid from Direct. They will save me $1,200 over 24 months. That's $50/month!!

ok; thanks for the reply! Regarding 2 NEW seems to only apply to programs, not movies. When I look at a movie that is being shown for the first time it doesn't include NEW but when I look at a tv program being shown for the first time it does.

Could you tell me what channel (network) you're viewing? I can try it here and see what I find.

sure; I am looking at HBO channel (1207 at 5pm or 1200 at 8pm) on Saturday (today) 3-9. They are showing a movie "Project X" which, according to the HBO website is a "premiere" showing. Your Trio guide for the movie doesn't indicate NEW. When I do a search on this title, and then select "First Run" from the search results, it displays "No Information".

I wonder if the guide provider is mistaking it for this:
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0093793/?ref_=sr_2
When you mentioned a movie called Project X that was the first movie that came to mind.
Something else I was thinking about and confirmed with another rep as well is that the new flag doesn't apply to movies but only regular series since movies don't repeat in the sense that a series TV show would.

I suppose that is possible (although it is listed in Rovi guide as "premiere"), but I haven't found ANY first run movies in the Trio guide that are labelled as NEW - can you provide one? Is there a simple way to search for "first run"?

The best way to describe is is first run or new doesn't apply to movies. Unless it's a network original or something like that a movie is always a repeat. The "new" feature is intended to help distinguish between repeats and new episodes of series shows only.

right, so I think we are actually agreeing that "new" doesn't apply to movies. My original post was just to indicate that I did get "premiere" labels on movies with the Rovi guide and miss the equivalent in the Trio guide. So, I would still like to have this considered as an added capability if feasible.
thanks
