I'm sorry that you've had trouble with the transition to Cox! You can jump ahead in the Guide several ways. Let's say I'm checking the Guide to make sure Hawaii Five-O is going to be on tomorrow night at 9pm on (my channel) 3. Here are my steps:

1. Press the Guide button.
2. Punch in 03 so the Guide shows the channel 3 schedule/listings.
3. Press the FFwd button on the remote to skip (1) day ahead.
4. Press the right arrow key (next to the Select button) to scroll to the 9pm time-slot.
