Recent 'outages'

A reported problem here within the last month or so was that the time stamp for call history was off. Several of us reported it, some followed through on recommendations of reporting it to your email with a screenshot and account information. That has since been fixed. The past few days call history failed for three days, and was reported here, It seems like users here are doing their thing here reporting the problems and following Cox's recommendations, yet when the problem is fixed we don't hear a thing about what the problem was. As a telephone system technician of over 45 years experience, if I fixed something and didn't tell the customer what the problem was or how I fixed it, at the least my company would have lost a customer, and I may have lost a job.

Other than Cox moderators posing simple questions of those experiencing problems, then giving them the email address to for further support, this "forum" is a forum in name only. There is no real discussion. There are some who are knowledgeable in telephony issues, and kudos to them for helping out, but if it goes beyond the simple things the Cox moderators are disappointingly silent. I've asked questions about possible resolutions to the robocall issues, no response; no response as well about recent outages. THAT is not what I have ever been led to believe is good customer service.

Hi dhw1949,

The resolution to some issues can be proprietor information and confidential. For example, it the issue was hardware and we needed to change something, we can advise the customer as suggest. If the issue is a software that is confidential, we are not able to advise. I found your ticket for your previous history issue and can re-escalate it if needed. Since this issue isn't nationwide and is only affecting some customers, we need the account in order to get it resolved. The purpose of the Cox Forum is to allow customers to discuss technical topics related to our residential services with other customers, and not to get known issues with the service resolved. For billing or other account specific issues, I suggest reaching us on Twitter at @CoxHelp, visit us on Facebook, or at cox.help@cox.com.
