ports
Even though only certain tcp and udp ports are supposedly blocked it seems that all ports I try are being blocked. Anyone else have this problem?

Here is a link to the article concerning what ports are blocked:
http://ww2.cox.com/residential/support/internet/article.cox?articleId={cacf82f0-6407-11df-ccef-000000000000}
As for the issue at hand, what is it you're trying to accomplish?

i am having the same issue, new customer, would like to have used port 80 for a security camera system. have used port 8080 on old ISP with no problem with port foward from internal network to outside. but cant seem to get any to work with cox.
called support but that was just a waste of time, had no idea how to troubleshoot issue, my own support searchs point to a "network manager"? but when i am logged in to cox it takes me to buy a internet package LOWER that the one i have! instead of to download anything.

More details would be helpful. I'm currently making use of ports 85, 8282, 5050, 8081, and a few others as well with no problems at all.
I know ports 80 & 25 are blocked. I have had some issues w/ 8080 as well, but I think that was internal to my network, not Cox. But I don't recall clearly.

I have a Cisco RV082 VPN Router and have been trying to get my security cam accessible from the Wan. I've done the requisite port forwarding rule, the inbound firewall, rule etc for TCP port 8080 witch my security cam uses. I ot the current ip using Whatsmyip.org. I have not been able to access the device externally. You mentioned having issues with oort 8080 so I guess I'try a different port on the camera. Any other suggestions? Please excuse the typos, I'm using an iPad...LOL
