Personal web site

http://forums.cox.com/forum_home/internet_forum/f/5/t/7753.aspx

the above posting exhibits a similar problem that I have been having accessing my home page and web pages at

www.comlu.com , the site I have been using without problem since Cox dropped personal web site hosting.

I have gotten a "Server not found" message for about a week.  Logging into my comlu account identifies it as an active account.

So far no response from comlu.

Any suggestions or ideas would be appreciated.  I have already considered moving to a new site but like to avoid reestablishing my  web site.

Thanks Dave Nutile

Hi dnutile,

Are you able to access your page outside of our network? Can you ping the site also?

Only access I have used is through Cox with a Cisco home router.  Over the last couple of days I have started to get my home page and web pages on my browsers. Originally it was hit or miss, today seems to be back pretty well.   I have PC hard wired to the router with Win XP and Fedora Linux and yes both operating systems had the browser problem.  Yes I can ping dnutile.comlu.com .  I should have tried my laptop with Win 10,  but didn't.  Today I tried it and it is working also.  I will watch it for a while and see if it has started to work.  Thanks for the interest.  I was considering looking into the cost of a web page hosting would be with Cox.  You handle everything else for me.

I responded about an hour earlier that my all my browsers were displaying my web pages.  Now I am back to "Server not found"  on linux and laptop Win10 systems.  Have not checked Win XP but don't think it will be any different.  Ping now returns "unknown host".

So much for things improving.

@dnutile

I looked from this end and I'm showing the link between the modem and your router is down. Can you try connecting a PC directly to the modem and resetting it?
