Pandora via cable skips

A few months ago I bought a Roku streaming stick and quickly became a Pandora fan. More recently, Pandora became available via cable TV and I thought that was great because it meant I could control it with just one remote instead of juggling three to do it with Roku. However, when playing it through the Interactive Services on cable, it rather frequently (2 or 3 times in 30 minutes) plays a few (5 to about 30) seconds of a song then abruptly starts a different one. That has never happened when playing via Roku. In researching this, I found that that behavior was a common cause of complaints as long as six years ago when running Pandora on mobile phones. Of course, none of the solutions suggested (for phones) are applicable to Pandora on cable. Anyone else having this problem or have a suggestion as to how to fix it?

What do you mean "Pandora became available via cable TV'. Do you mean via your cable box? If so, thats news to me.

Or do you mean its integrated into your TV itself? Can you give more info? Maybe I am just out of the loop. Could anyone confirm?

Hi Jerry,

Thanks for reaching out to us through Cox Forums! We added the Pandora service to Contour just a few months ago, so I'm glad you've been using it! We haven't had a great deal of feedback about Pandora through Contour, so I've forwarded your post to our video engineers for input. Have you noticed any other issues or little quirks with other Contour features?

Health Edge, you can learn more about Pandora through Contour on page 74 of the Contour User's Guide (http://bit.ly/Contour_UserGuide).

I think Im just going to stay out of the cable forum. I don't have cable service with Cox, only internet, so I just don't have the practical knowledge to be accurate here. Plus Cox is adding something new like every week! LOL Hard to keep up. Thanks for the link though.
