Cox moderators, can you check with the technicians if there are any known problems with Pandora? I have intermittent problems. Sometimes i am warned ...... the "launch" takes a long time to appear after i choose Pandora. Other times it will launch quickly but Pandora is very slow to respond to the inputs from the remote control. Some songs will stop playing midway. Some songs won't play at all even though the time-bar scrolls across as if it were playing. The service tends to be better during the day; worse at night. I imagine that it might be difficult for Cox to provide an external offering like Pandora; when my Cox Pandora is struggling, online Pandora plays fine.
My setup: One tv set; one DVR; no splitters, all connections tight; DVR reset by me and by a Cox tech; new box from Cox Store; strong signal to my house; adequate air circulation near the DVR; room temperature 70 degrees. Which makes me think the problem is coming from somewhere else.
One update: The tv caller ID no longer interrupts Pandora. Songs keep playing even tho Call ID is turned on and a call comes in. This was fixed about one week ago. Thanks to any moderators who talked to the techs about it.
Pandora is a fun feature and i am glad it is offered.

@TiffanyR, absolutely no problems with my DVR.
Can you ask the Pandora techs is they see any problems? I used the DVR all day today to watch live tv and recorded shows. When i went to Pandora, the first song played correctly ...... 2nd song lasted 1 second before stopping. Silence for 5 seconds. 2nd song tried to play again but quit after 1 second. Then silence for 30 seconds. Same problem with the 3rd song. Then the 4th song played correctly. I had rebooted the box again last night. I am listening to song #4 now. Song #5 just started. It is fine.

@TiffanyR. I just got off the phone with Cox support. I put the speakerphone on and let the Cox technician listen to my Pandora. She heard the song start to play and then stop. She said she would pass the word to the Pandora techs about the problem.
She checked my signal level. It is 9-3 or 9-4. She said that is at the high end but if i'm not having any problems with my DVR i shouldn't be having any problems with Pandora.
She said that she could send out a technician to swap out my DVR; but i just did that a few weeks ago and it didn't stop the problem. She also said that she doesn't see any mention on her screen about current Pandora problems.
I asked if i would hear back about any news about Pandora and she said no. I would have to call back in a week to report the problem again. That is why i am hoping that one of the Cox moderators will come back to this thread if they learn of any news about Pandora problems and/or fixes.

There are no reported issues with Pandora at this time. What you're describing sounds more like an issue in the home or with the signal. When was the last time a technician was out to the home? If you haven't had a service call in a while, it may be time to schedule an appointment. If the issue is with the signal, replacing the boxes will not resolve this for you. Please email us at cox.help@cox.com an include yuor full name, complete address & a link to your post here in order to allow us to look into this further.
