My Outlook email (Office Professional 2013/Windows 7) stopped sending and receiving after 27 Aug 14. All of my accounts get send and receive errors now.
My Webmail on Cox still shows emails are coming in, but I can't receive them on Outlook.

Same problem with me -- Office 365 and Win 7 -- receiving send/receive errors for past 24 hours.

What is the send/receive error? That will usually tell the problem.

Look up the error message, it usually starts something like 0x008, put that entire number into a search engine and see what's on Microsoft's technet site for that error.

Same here, except I'm using Apple's e-mail program, running in Mavericks on an iMac. Actually, I think it may have gone down a couple of days earlier than yours, but not certain of that. But the issue is the same -- all accounts show in the reader, but no new e-mails will download and I can't send e-mail from any of them.
I hope tech support can provide something more useful than "it's your equipment" as an answer.

@Hiredgun Have you used the Connection Doctor. See info here.
Also you can check your email logs here. This will only work on Mac ofcourse, but thread needs some hard edvidence whats causing the issue.
For trending reasons can you post

If you're up for it, might just be easier and quicker to remove and re-add your email account in Mac Mail. Do a backup of your mail folder (details all over the web on how to back up Mac Mail) and simply remove and add the account again.
