When attempting to use Cox Secure Online Back-up the program fails at the backup manager screen with the "Program has Stopped Working" window. When viewing problem details I get the Following:
Problem signature:
Problem Event Name: CLR20r3
Problem Signature 01: onlinebackup.syncnshare.exe
Problem Signature 02: 4.6.10.3619
Problem Signature 03: 4e227bd6
Problem Signature 04: mscorlib
Problem Signature 05: 2.0.0.0
Problem Signature 06: 4ef6ca5e
Problem Signature 07: 41c5
Problem Signature 08: a3
Problem Signature 09: System.IO.DirectoryNotFound
OS Version: 6.0.6002.2.2.0.768.3

Does the system IO directory not found error indicate that file sharing must be enabled? Currently is is disabled. I am using Vista Home Premium SP2

Hi There,
Are you getting this error while trying to download the software for the first time? Or was the software previously installed and this error is while trying to upload files for the first time?
There are a few things that may be happening. Are you signing in with the Primary Cox User ID from your Cox account? Only the Primary User ID will be able to access Cox Secure Online Backup (CSOB.)
Vista Home Premium SP2 will be fine with CSOB; more important that the OS is your internet browser. The minimum browser requirements for Cox Secure Online Backup are Internet Explorer 7.0 and higher, Firefox 3.0 and higher, and Safari 3.0 and higher, and up-to-date Javascript.
While I'm not 100% sure, I believe file-sharing is a built-in feature; and that you don't have to have your PC set to file-share. However, since I'm not positive about that, if you continue to have difficulty, please call our CSOB Technical Support Line at 1-800-923-7580.
Also, for folks who might be new to Cox Secure Online Backup, the link below provides more info and activation instructions.
