I've encountered a really strange issue with my cable service. I called support yesterday and spent about 20 mins on the line with a rep and thought the issue was fixed but apparently wasn't. I needed more assistance but started getting a little annoyed towards the end of the call because the person was trying to push promos rather than just helping me, so I was kind of rushing to get off the line anyway. Neither here nor there I guess.
Now the issue is my cable suddenly went out yesterday afternoon. When I checked all TV's, the only room that worked was the main room with the box. As of now, it still works fine but the cable in my other rooms (direct wall connections) is still acting up. I'm missing several channels, have done multiple channel scans and still not fully restored. Initially I wasn't getting any channels after it went down, but after waiting a bit and doing the scans, some channels came back. The picture is also blurry on some of the channels (didn't have this problem before) and when I leave the TV on a missing channel, it randomly pops in and out with perfect sound but I only see static.
The rep I spoke with yesterday said there didn't seem to be any signal problems from what he could see and he had never heard of such an issue. Has anyone ever had this problem or heard of anything like this?

Sounds like you have a signal amplifier that just feeds your basic (no box) TVs and its unplugged or somehow not working. Any recent power outages or surges? This would typically be in the basement, or where ever all your cable wires come together, usually near your circuit breaker. However it may be placed where ever the cable wiring divided between the room with the cable box and the rooms with basic TV.

Now that I think about it, there did seem to be a bit of a power surge yesterday. I didn't think much of it because nothing else went out and there were no other issues around the house. Also didn't think anything concerning the cable since the main box still worked. That makes sense though and we'll check some of the other connections and see what we get. Thanks!
