Motorola SB6141 Modem Firmware Question
I just replaced my Motorola Modem SB6121 with a new SB6141 (Customer purchase). The 6141 shows: Firmware Name: SB KOMODO-1.0.6.12SCM00-NOSH. I understand the latest firmware for the 6141 modem is SB_KOMODO-1.0.6.14-SCM01-NOSH. Do I need to update to this firmware, or should the modem be ok as is? The only problem I presently am having is occasional drop of signal a couple times per day. Appreciate any advice on this. Thanks.

It looks like the firmware already updated however I doubt that is having anything to do with problems you're reporting. Have you tried any testing without the router yet to see if the connection is more consistent that way?

Thanks for reply - yes, I have tested wired direct to modem. I just wasn't showing th .14 update when I went to 198.162.100.1 so I thought .12 was still installed firmware-wise.

Forgot to add - it is now showing the .14 firmware - you are correct. Appreciate your help.
