We have a CISCO phone/internet modem. I believe it is one of the latest ones. I do not have the model number.
The lights come through the vents and are so bright that no one can sleep with the modem in their room. Nothing we do prevents the lights from effecting the sleep of the person in the room of the modem. Due to a fire hazzard, we are not comfortable putting a box around it.
Is there any other solution?
We might have to cancel cox phone service because of it and switch a regular modem.

A strip of electrical tape across the front? Or black out the lights with a black marker.

Most of the light is coming from the vents. They can not be covered.
Unbelievable how much light comes from this modem.

You can get a separate phone modem from data modem and put the phone modem somewhere else. Other then that I think your out of luck.
