Managing email folders

I have created a folder in which I archive emails.  Is there a way to automatically delete emails from this archive folder after a certain period? (e.g. 6 months)

To assist you further it would be helpful if you could share how it is you're accessing your email.  For example are you using our webmail page or an email program such as Outlook Express, Windows Mail, etc?
