Hi, there. Thank you for your post. Although I do not have specifics, Spectrum internet does have Wifi 7 available in some markets; however, you can also purchase a router and save $10. We also have salespeople available to assist you at the following number: 1-800-234-3993. They're available Monday - Friday, 8 am - 9 pm and Saturday, 9 am - 6 pm. Are there any other concerns you have for me? I am glad to help. -Chris
WiFi 7 is a wireless router issue. If your wireless router supports WiFi 7 then you have WiFi 7. Cox/Spectrum rents the XER10 - SCER11BELCOX, which supports wifi 7, personally I Own my own equipment. I use the Netgear CM3000 modem, and the Netgear Nighthawk RS300 router. I have 1 gig down, 100K up
They have the Spectrum wp8 model that has Wi-Fi 7 but you have to get the two gig upgrade speed.
It only has the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz band I've already did my research but I have my own tp-link axe5400 that is Wi-Fi 6E and offers the 6 GHz band and when I get the wp7 I will just put in a bridged mode to go to my router.
The Wi-Fi 7 is the technology but they don't offer the six gigahertz band that most of the new electronics that are good like Samsung Galaxy s25 plus that I have work off of along with the Lenovo yoga tab Plus tablet I have. So keep that in mind I'd rather have the six gigahertz band. You can get both in a tp-link router but it is more money but they are two separate things I had to research this to learn this. Even when I had the Wi-Fi 6 I thought that it would have the six gigahertz band but it doesn't it works off of the 5 gigahertz band Wi-Fi 6 is ax 6 ghz band works off of a x e routers
Just a reminder, the higher the frequency, the shorter the distance it covers. 6ghz and 5ghz, are both great close up, but at 30 ft and 1 floor away, they stink. Quite frankly, I think that it would work better if they allowed routers and WiFi equipment to use 900 Mhz.
