Cox always goes down after paying bill

My cox wifi is on auto payment and as a reward for paying my bill they shut my wifi down. Any time I remember I note when my wifi was down it's always after paying and im so sick of the bs and when I called in the past years they told me it was my modem I replaced it and when a tech came out they blamed something outside and they'll claim it's a free service and then try to convince you to join some monthly payment for their just in case service you need so you dont have to pay over $50 for them to come out. Anyways im ranting is anyone else having problems after making a payment?
