A few years back, COX sold our email addresses (@cox.net) to Yahoo.    Will Spectrum be taking those email addresses back into there real of technology?  I am asking because if COX currently has some "forwarder" on these @cox.net email addresses, sending them to Yahoo,  did Spectrum build these in to the acquisition?     I am concerned with how email will work after all parts of the conversion and acquisition are done.

greentruck97 - Hi, nothing will change with your email address. That belongs to you completely. Once things were transferred to Yahoo, we were completely hands-off.

YahooMail is completely hosting cox.net email addresses. 

 

BTW, I use Outlook setup as my mail handler and that way I don't have to login to Yahoo and see all their ridiculous ads.

Yahoo! Mail hosts a LOT of different emails now and Comcast is in the middle of pushing theirs over to the anger of their customers fed up with the ads.  I've tried to tell customers to use a third party email client to avoid the ads, or at least see if their browser has an extension to block the ads at mail.yahoo.com, but they'd rather complain than do something constructive for themselves.

 

[FWIW, I'm a (Customer) Expert [volunteer] in their Forums and have been for 20 years.  Whoever in all ISP's thought it was a good idea to let Yahoo handle all this email must have decided it the morning after the night before...]

People would rather complain, than take a few minutes, to address an issue. I started using outlook on Yahoo Mail, as soon as Cox turned it over to them. Never had a problem.
