Latency problems
I've been noticing latency issues with my Cox internet service. They started 3-4 weeks ago, and have not improved. I am getting good download speeds and reasonable upload speeds, but ping times are > 1 second, no matter where the site is I'm pinging. I don't play online games, and it's a good thing, because with these latencies, it would be impossible.
Does anyone have any suggestions? It's very noticeable and very frustrating; every command or click takes way too long to register.

What are your ping time to your modem, 192.168.100.1

Do you have any of the ping test results or trace routes so we can see where the latency occurs? Do you have your computer hard-wired or are you using a wireless connection?

Sounds like something on your PC is slowing it down. Maybe malware and a antivirus. If you are getting good less then 1ms to all sites, not only is that impossible, but it is NOT a sign of getting latency. Can you include some screen shots or copy/paste? If the only thing that is slow is clicking and moving the mouse, then it has nothing to do with internet.
