Long-time Cox customer here...
I haven't had any issues with internet performance until last night. I stream on twitch.tv and play video games. Last night, I started experiencing severe lag, rubber-banding in games, connection drops on my stream. I woke up today and the issue remains. I tried resetting the modem, router, and release/renewing to no avail. What gives?

Do you have any data on the problem? Tracert? Ping tests? Speed tests? Modem signal levels?

tracert to google.com seems normal - no spikes or packet loss
23 ms / 17 down / 2.3 up on speedtest.net
I'm in Wichita and got the following on tests..
22% packet loss and 69ms on pingtest.net to Sioux City
7% packet loss on another test to St. Louis
8% packet loss to Colorado
Modem signal levels all look optimal

I also retested the Colorado server after a modem reset and got an astonishing 29% packet loss with 69ms latency but 39ms of jitter..

Done what you suggested and nothing has changed. I reattached the coaxial cable and made sure it's snug - still nothing. Could it be a problem with the modem or router itself?

What are your modem's signal levels? They can be found at 192.168.100.1.

Your Upstream power level is high, but more importantly is your downstream is high too. Usually if upstream is high, downstream will be low, which makes me think you have a signal amp somewhere.
Could you describe how the cable wire gets from the street to your modem? Connections, splitters, does it go underground? That kind of thing.
