Internet constantly dropping very fustrating

Hello guys! I want to start of with the fact that my internet keeps messing up and drops to even less than 1mbs download and upload. So I believe that I know why this is happening it is because of my cox account. At first this sounds stupid so let me explain ever since I downgraded my internet from Premier to essential my internet keeps dropping so I upgraded it to Preferred but it is still happening I changed my router and modem and on top of that I moved and still keep getting the same problems! So please if a moderator could go and check my cox account because my address is the same and called and changed it but my address is still the same not sure what to do I'm thinking of closing my cox account and open it up again on a different name.

Here are all my logs from the modem

By the way my modem is a Netgear CM500-100NAS

My guess is something with the downstream. Can you post your signal levels? Should find them near where you got your logs.

Also, when you lose the internet, do the lights change on the modem?

For one, your downstream power levels are pretty bad. They should ideally be in the range of -3 to 3, or as close to zero as possible.

When they did a professional installation because it was't working the guy attached an attenuator but it made the interent worse so I removed not sure what to do I need help

I see the issue here:

4 Locked QAM256 75 825000000 Hz 11 dBmV 41 dB 1744

1622

Those levels look like a issue at the plant. Those uncorrectables are packet loss.

Can you describe your house? I have a feeling your in a Condo or some kind of apartment complex. I only ask because I think the issue may be in the maintenance closet or shed. Just a gut feeling. Take it with as grain of salt.

I live in a apartment with 3 bedrooms and the modem and router is in the living room I am not sure how to not use that channel the only setting I have is this one

Frequency start Value
This field below allows you to modify the frequency the cable modem start with its scan during initialization and registration. Enter the new start frequency and restart the cable modem for it to take effect.
Starting Frequency

And by the way what does correctables mean? Thanks

Also there seems to be another channel causing packet loss

4 Locked QAM256 75 825000000 Hz 10.9 dBmV 41 dB 1744 1622
5 Locked QAM256 76 831000000 Hz 11.2 dBmV 41.1 dB 661 660

How does the cable get from the street to the bedroom the modem is in? Is there main junction somewhere where all the cables come together?

I wouldn't mess around with the starting frequency. Without know how Cox has the bandwidth allocated, changing that could make things worse. That's mostly to improve boot speeds so the modem doesn't have to cycle through the entire channel.

Connection from your PC to the website your visiting is done through a protocol called TCP by sending and receiving packets. Part of that protocol is error correction where if the PC detects a packet wasn't received, it will ask the website to resend it. This adds a tiny bit of latency. If after several attempts to resend the packet, it fails, it is considered a "uncorrectable". Basically the packet never made it to it's destination = packet loss.

Can't find where the wires go so maybe it is underground there is another coaxial outlet in the master bedroom though

It is probably my modem or router or it is Cox's fault

Was the service installed recently? When was the last time a technician was out? If there is a signal problem, then someone physically needs to find the leak and stop it.

I had a professional installation and the wires come from the wall there are two wires he attached a cable extension and a white cable wire to it I removed it because I was having internet issues but that made the situation worse.
