Cross post from the Phone Forum at AllenP's suggestion.
People calling my number get one ring or none and the call disconnects. CS thinks it is due to something in the house. I am not so sure. What to y'all think?
In addition the internet download connection is very slow. I was downloading a software update that is usually quick and the time estimate was 2 1/2 hours.
Cox's speed test keeps timing out. Bandwidth Place Results:
Download 0.72 Mbps
Upload 11.78 Mbps
Ping 206

Are the two problems related? Like does your internet connection get very slow when someone calls you? Or is it always slow?
When you took that test, was it wired or wireless? Also, what model modem and router do you have?
Last, when someone calls, do you hear that one ring? Does the caller hear anything before the disconnect? Static? Fax machine? Etc?

I don’t know if the two are related and I tested wired. Last night we started getting incoming calls again. This morning I was able to use the COX speed test and everything was peachy.
Download Speed 61.07
Upload Speed 7.10
Thanks for the input!

Ok, just keep a eye on it. Sometimes problems come back when they mysteriously solve themselves, and you don't want to be back at square one. Good luck and keep us updated.
